Fujille Mlambo Nagakuka, executive director of the United Nations Women''s Association, described the present environment as "not encouraging for the up-liftment of women". He cited political violence, verbal attacks and misuse of social media against women candidates and leaders in many countries, saying that ''women have turned backward. The desire to fight for the office is decreasing in women because it is a very ruthless process''. Hindusthan Samachar/Radha/Pramod \
