PNB scam mastermind tracked in London street by media
New Delhi, Mar.9 (HS): The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Saturday emphasized its commitment in bringing back fugitive economic offender Nirav Modi. Neerav is absconding from India laws after cheating Indian banks and misappropriated Rs 13,700 crore. As per information, Nirav was on Friday tracked by representative of an international daily - The Telegraph - in London. The Indian government has already requested his extradition from UK, documents for which were submitted in 2018. Meanwhile, MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar, while taking up questions from the media on the new development, stated that finding the diamantaire on the streets of London wouldn''t result in the speeding up of his extradition. On Friday, Nirav Modi was confronted by The Telegraph on a busy street in London. The international daily posed numerous questions in front of the diamantaire relating to his extradition. But in a brazen fashion, Nirav Modi avoided all questions, and even when he chose to answer, he just said "Sorry, no comment". Hindusthan Samachar/Pramod
