JAMMU, Mar.8 (HS): Countering concept of separatism,a huge rush have been seen in recruitment rally of army in Doda district after the terror attack on forces in Peace, last month.A 32 year-old Nawaz Ahmed is among hundreds of youth who turned in large number to participate in recruitment rally of Territorial Army in Jammu and Kashmir’s mountainous district Doda.Nawaz Ahmed of Kuntwara of district Kishtwar said, “I have participated in thirteen recruitment rallies so far because I wanted to be a part of Indian army to serve my country.”“I wanted to participate in recruitment rally but I had no money, then Imam Sahab of local mosque extended helping hand and gave me Rs 1500 for the rally. I wanted to join army to serve my nation and also take care of my families as we hardly have any employment opportunities here.”“My family is against my decision, they wanted me to do civil job and I also got selected for that, but I left the job to cherish by childhood dream to join army. I want youth should come forward to join armed forces to strength our nation.” Sushel Shan another youth said.“Indian army is providing the best platform for any youth to grow and fulfill his dream. Army not only providing us employment opportunities but also protects our family,” Ajit Rathore said.It is worthwhile to mention here that the Territorial Army is conducting recruitment rally for four districts of Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban and Udhampur from 5th to 13 March in Sports Stadium Doda. Enthusiasm with which these youngsters turned up for the recruitment shows how upbeat they are about joining the army even after the dastardly Pulwama attack.“Enthusiasm among youth is very high due to Pulwama attack and they are reaching here from remotest corners, braving snowfall and clod conditions. Over three thousands youth have participated in two days.” an official said.“1533 youth participated on Wednesday but only 89 managed to select for physical tests.
