\RKanpur,March 8(HS)Asking the state governments to provide full protection to Kashmiri students and others studying or working in their states,Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked them to take stern action against those who attack them or ill treat in any other manner.Addressing a rally, after foundation-laying or inaugurating projects worth over 23000 crores,Modi said the need of the hour is unity."We can fight against terrorists, divisive forces and all those who are not serving the interest of the country only if we are united".In this context he recalled the statements of some of opposition leaders doubting air strike and capability of the armed forces and said that these people were harming the nation and strengthening the enemies including Pakistan."These statement are being lapped up and widely circulated by Pakistan to propagate against India and earn support. The aim is just create confusion and hide facts", he believed.Calling the action,"Irresponsible" and "unpatriotic", he asked these leaders to desist from it. " You can oppose me,criticise me,condemn me,but, please do not do anything which can go against the interest of the nation", he advised without naming any one.In presence of governor Ram Naik, chief minister Yogi Aditynath and some other leaders, he re-assured the poor that each one of them would live in a pucca house by the end of 2022." Trust me. I will not disappoint you and fulfill the promise".During his address,he talked about terrorists, behaviour of some of the opposition leaders, attack on Kashmiris and development of infrastructure. He lauded the UP government for taking immediate action against some UP-ites who had attacked some Kashmiris on Wednesday." All state government should act like this", he conselled.Modi was of the view that some opposition leaders were "speaking like Pakistanis", " deliberately"." It is just for some narrow political gains. Is it not shameful not to believe in the valour of soldiers?,he asked and the crowd responsed positively. He informed that 1.5 crore houses for the poor have been already constructed. More houses are being built for them. Some of them have got the keys. Others will get them in due course.Referring to Namami Gange, his pet project,he said as many as 275 projects to clean the river have been launched out of which 50 are located in UP." Previous governments misutilised the fund. Some leaders pocketed the money, too. It is because of all this that the river is still unclean."Modi said his government has launched a decisive battle against terrorists which will go on till neutralisation of all of them." No one should carry any misconception about it".Slamming "Mahamilawati" alliance( alliance in UP), he alleged that they were inviting even those who are out of jail or in jail."It is a principle-less and opportunistic alliance",he claimed.Later,he left for Ghaziabad where he will launch or inaugurate projects worth over Rs 32,000 crores including some metro rail projects.HS/RN \R
