Mamata pulls down Modi government for theft of Rafael documents
Kolkata, 7 March (HS): West Bengal Chief minister Mamata Banerjee today once again came down heavily on the union government for the alleged theft of important documents of the Rafael deal and ridiculed the ''efficiency of the Modi Government'' in protecting them. Continuing her unabated tirade against BJP and Prime minister Narendra Modi, the chief minister, prior to her departure from the state Secretariat Nanbanna this evening, questioned the alleged motive behind such a report. ''Were those documents really stolen or the report was arranged by someone'', she said and described the issue as dangerous in view of the coming elections. ''Since we all know that Rafael is a major issue before the elections and a case is pending at the Supreme court which need all such documents'', she said and questioned how come they were stolen from such a protected area(of South Block) housing the Prime minister''s and the Defence minister''s office. She also raised a question mark on the integrity of the Prime minister, as one of his strongest critics. It may be recalled that the West Bengal Chef minister had recently been at the center of a political storm when she expressed her reservations about the outcome of the Balakot air strike by IAF pilots and even wanted proof on the number of deaths of terrorists in the attack.
