'Pulwama' effect: India refuses visa to Pakistani devotees
Corrected and updated New Delhi, Mar.6 (HS): In the backdrop of Pulwama attack and later strike against terrorist structure in Pakistan by Indian air force, Government of India has denied visas to Pakistani devotees of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. It is worthwhile to mention here that five hundred Pakistani citizens have applied for Indian visa this year but no one has been granted the same. On Mar.12 the festival of Urs is ending and People are gathering every year in Ajmer to pay obeisance to Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Pakistani devotees this year not coming to Ajmer has caused financial impact on businessmen of Old Delhi but they are having no qualms and expressing solidarity with government of India in eradicating terrorism, sponsored from across border. It may be noted that district of Pulwama belonging to Jammu-Kashmir has seen a nefarious terrorist attack by Pakistani terrorist organization, Jaish-e-Mohammad on Feb.14 in which more than 40 CRPF jawans had been martyred. It was followed by Indian air force strike against terrorist infrastructure located in Bahawalpur in Pakistan on Feb.26, that was also accepted by Pakistan. Later on Pakistan tried to violate Indian territorial integrity and sent a fleet of F-16 fighter planes but that was repelled by Indian air force. India also lost on Mig fighter plane with it pilot parachuted to Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Later he was handed over to India. Hindusthan Samachar/Owais/Pramod
