Prime Minister Narendra Modi pleads ballot for a strong government
Kalaburagi(Karnataka),06 March(HS):Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid a strong emphasis here for a mandate in enabling a strong government at the center for commitment towards developing a prosperous nation. The Prime Minister was addressing a mammoth public meeting at the Nutan Vidyalaya group of institutions grounds after dedicating several projects to the nation and simultaneously laying foundation stones to many a other schemes. He lambasted the opposition parties which have suddenly become united with the sole intention of propelling a weak government just like the Janata Dal Secular-Congress alliance state government in the state. There''s a remote controlled CM here heading the coalition dispensation who is against all pro farmer policies of the Union government.Six thousand rupees is being deposited annually into the accounts of farmers owning less than 5 acres of land. But the alliance regime is blocking the transfer of money into the accounts as they are not able to play with the money, alleged the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi dwelt in detail about the highlights and achievements of the National Democratic Alliance(NDA) government under his leadership and also took a dig at the opposition party leaders who have all developed stomach ache as they are not able to swindle off people''s money for their ulterior purposes. The prime minister gave an instance on how around 1.10 lakh crores of public money was embezzled by eight crore fictitious names. All the money under welfare schemes went to these people who existed only on papers! On revealing many such scams the corrupt in the opposition parties want me to go,he made ridicule of such leaders. Interestingly the prime minister never even bothered to make a mention of Mallikarjun Kharge, leader of the Congress party in Parliament even once. Kalaburagi happens to be home constituency of the latter from where he has been elected twice and to the state Assembly nine times in a row. The highlight of today''s public meeting was Dr Umesh Jadhav''s entry into the saffron party. He is the Chincholi Congress MLA who quit to his membership from the state Assembly on Monday. However his resignation is yet to be accepted by KR Rameshkumar,Speaker. The sword of disqualification also continues to oscillate on his head as Siddaramaiah,Congress legislature party leader has already recommended disqualification from the party for alleged anti party activities. In the event of disqualification Dr Umesh Jadhav would be barred from contesting any elections in the next six years. On the other hand the BJP leaders have committed him the party''s candidature to contest Lok Sabha polls from Kalaburagi reserved constituency against the veteran Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge.
