Remarkable improvement in the country's Primary education: Report
New Delhi, Mar 04 (HS): Today the world has more knowledge than ever before, but every person can not take advantage of it. Countries around the world have made tremendous progress in increasing accessibility of education at all levels and increasing rates of recruitment in schools. Basic literacy skills have also improved tremendously. Significant progress has been made to facilitate primary education in India. There has been improvement in the recruitment of girls and completion of education in both primary and primary level schools. According to a UN report, till 2013-14, the net recruitment rate in primary education for boys and girls was 88 percent, while the national literacy rate at the national level was 94 percent for boys and 92 percent for girls. The main scheme of the Government, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is to provide all the best possible education for all. Despite these achievements, many challenges still persist. After the challenge of availability of education, there is now a need to ensure better education and equality. According to the report, almost a third of children in India leave school before completing primary education. Children who do not attend school, most of them are children with weak and marginalized sections, religious minority groups and children with disabilities, including Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
