Patna, August 2 (HS) Patna City SP Vinay Tiwari landed in Mumbai on Sunday to speed up the investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput death case. A four-member Patna police team is already camping in Mumbai for almost one week without much success.

Tiwari said, “Our team is working in Mumbai. Police investigation is always under a process. Our next process is supervision and for this I have been sent here. I will monitor the team’s progress  and decide next course of action.”

Tiwari said efforts would be made to collect all the relevant documents. A day earlier, Director General of Police Gupteshwar Pandey had said that his police team could not trace the main accused Rhea Chakraborty against whom Sushant’s father K K Singh had filed an FIR with Rajiv Nagar police station in Patna. The hospital authorities in Mumbai also refused to share the post mortem report of the actor with Bihar police.

Sources said Bihar police had collected several documentary evidences against Rhea and there was a possibility to issue a lookout notice against her. Police said that Rhea was not using mobile phone apprehending that police might trace her through the phone.

The investigation got a boost on Saturday when Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said his government was ready to recommend a CBI probe if the family wanted so. He said a police team had been sent to Mumbai but added that it did not mean that he had no confidence in Mumbai police.
