Customs join NIA in questioning Sivsankar.

Kochi, July 27, (HS) T K Ramees, one of the accused in the gold smuggling case that rocked Kerala politics has been arrested by the NIA team on Monday. Ramees, is already in the judicial custody following his arrest by the Customs Department. The NIA team arresting Ramees means that he would be questioned in custody about the terrorism angle in the smuggling of gold. The Customs Department would be seeking the custodial interrogation of Swapna and Sandeep who are in the custody of NIA.

Meanwhile the interrogation of Sivsankar, the suspended principal secretary of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is continuing at the Kochi office of the NIA. A team of Customs officers too joined the interrogation session at 4 pm. Sivsankar is being questioned by the joint team of Customs and NIA officials now.
