Kolkata, Aug 14 (HS) : State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest public sector bank today announced the launch of YONO Krishi to offer the country's farmers community a technology backed diversified agricultural solution.

The new platform would cater to all requirements of farmers, from sowing to harvesting and even selling and is expected to receive significant traction from the farmer’s community.

According to top SBI sources, in the current pandemic time, SBI in a bid to make lives of country's millions of farmers much easier had also introduced the KCC Review option on YONO Krishi.

With this added feature, farmers will no longer need to travel the distance to visit the bank branch to apply for a revision in their KCC limit; the sources said adding KCC Review option on YONO Krishi would also help farmers apply from the comfort of their homes without any paperwork.

Moreover, recognising the fact that not all farmers might have access to smartphones, SBI had also streamlined the KCC review process at its branches to benefit more than 7.5 million farmers in remote areas too.

“It is yet another initiative of SBI to make farmer customers, future-ready by offering them constant digital innovations pertaining to their agricultural needs,” the sources said quoting SBI Chairman Rajnish Kumar.
