Manchester, July 24 (HS) England skipper Joe Root said he is confident that fast bowler Jofra Archer is all set to play in the third Test against the West Indies.Archer was ruled out of the second Test against the West Indies for violating the Coronavirus bio-safe protocol. Root said that Archer has bowled brilliantly in the nets before the decisive match and is well prepared for the match.

England have used six bowlers in the first two Tests and are expected to rotate their bowling order again as they want to play fresh again in three more Tests against Pakistan. So it can be guessed that Archer can return in the third Test.

"He had a smile back on his face because he was playing again, he was back out there with ball in hand, and doing what he loves most which is playing cricket. Of course, we’ll make sure that he’s absolutely okay to go, but very excited to see him smiling and enjoying his cricket.” Root said.

On the racist abuse Archer referred to – he has forwarded it onto the ECB, Root added: “It was disgusting actually to see some of the stuff he’s had to put up with over the last week, it really is."“No one should have to deal with that whether you're a professional sportsman or a kid growing up at school. It's deeply disappointing and there's no other word for it."

“No one within this squad should feel like they’re isolated or on their own. Of course, sometimes that can be quite difficult when you’re left on your own in a room at night thinking about the game. You’ve got your own thoughts flying through your mind. It can be a lonely place sometimes. The series between West Indies and England is on par 1-1 and the last match of the series is to be played from Friday.
