BCCI sends letter of acceptance to Emirates Cricket board to host IPL in UAE.

New Delhi, July 27 (HS) Governing Council President of Indian Premier League (IPL), Brijesh Patel confirmed on Sunday that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has sent the letter of acceptance to the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) accepting its offer of hosting the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League in the United Arab Emirates.

Speaking to a UAE newspaper, Patel said, "Yes, we have sent the acceptance letter to the ECB and the two boards will work together to organize the tournament from now on."

According to the newspaper, the ECB sent a proposal to the BCCI in April to host the 13th edition of the IPL, which was originally scheduled to begin in India on 29 March.
However, the tournament was postponed indefinitely due to the Corona virus epidemic. In addition, Patel said that eight IPL franchises- Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore will hold their pre-tournament training camps in the United Arab Emirates. 

He said that the training camp would be held in a bio-safe environment in the UAE and teams would get at least three to four weeks to prepare for the tournament."
Earlier on Friday, Patel confirmed that the 2020 edition of the IPL will start in the UAE from September 19 and will continue till November 8.
