Remo D Souza wanted to make biopic on Saroj Khan..

New Delhi , July 7 (HS)

Three film directors wanted to make choreographer Saroj Khan's biopic. Popular among his disciples as Masterji , Saroj Khan started working as a child artist in films from the age of 3. Mentioning this in recent interview, Saroj Khan’s younger daughter Sukaina Nagpal said that Kunal Kohli, the wife of choreographer and director Baba Yadav and choreographer-director Remo D'Souza, had spoken to Mummy for her biopic.

Saroj Khan died of cardiac arrest at the age 71. The three-time National Award winner was not keeping well for some time and was hospitalised on June 20 after she complained of breathing issues.

In the interview, Sukaina said, “One day when I asked her who she wanted to work with, she named Remo D'Souza. She said she would like to make a film on her life with Remo because she said Remo's life story was also of becoming a hero from a zero.”

Sukaina also revealed that Remo D'Souza had approached her mother for a biopic. "A few people were in talks with my mother to make her biopic. But she used to dismiss the idea, saying, 'Mere baare mein kya jaanna hai logon ko?' However, during her last days, she had said Remo D'Souza was keen on telling her a story. She thought Remo, being a dancer himself, would understand her journey, and hence, was the perfect person to do the project," she said.
