New Delhi, 30 July (HS): Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi on Thursday held a meeting with party's Rajya Sabha members through video conference.

During the meeting, the issues related to the current political situation in Rajasthan, the Corona epidemic and issues of dispute with China were discussed.

For the past one month, the Congress government has been under cloud in Rajasthan. Apart from this, after the recently concluded Rajya Sabha elections in several states, new MPs have taken oath, including the leaders of the Congress party. So, keeping in mind the future plans, the Congress held discussions with the new Rajya Sabha MPs. At present, the number of Congress members in Rajya Sabha is 40.

It is worth mentioning that Sonia Gandhi's term as interim president of congress party is going to end on August 10. In such a situation, the Congress will have to mention the name of its new chairman to the Election Commission.
